The Nowata Ironmen improved to 2-0 on the season as the Ironmen took care of the Dewey Bulldoggers 55-25.  Nowata got on the board first when tailback Tarrell Collins scored on a 45 yard run.  After a two point conversion, Nowata led 8-0.  Dewey came back when tailback Hunter Brewer scored on a 42 yard run.  The two-point conversion failed and Dewey trailed 8-6.

The second quarter belonged to the Ironmen as nothing went right for the Doggers.  Dewey committed four of their seven turnovers in the first half.  One of those turnovers came when Ethan Foster picked off a Blake Timmons pass.

On the next possession, Dewey would respond with a 21 yard pass from Blake Timmons to Hunter Brewer.

Nowata led at halftime 43-12 and went on to win 55-25.  The Ironmen will travel to Vinita on Thursday, September 10th while Dewey will host Pawhuska on Friday, September 11th.
