Nowata Travels To Hominy For Makeup Game
The Nowata Ironmen girl’s and boys’ basketball team will have one more game to play before officially going on winter break. Nowata will travel to Hominy on Monday evening for a game that was originally scheduled to take place on November 28. However, after Hominy’s run in the class-A football state playoffs the game was moved.
The Ironmen have gotten off to a strong start this season with a 5-2 record. The boy’s team lost to 4A No. 7 Mannford in the title game of the Ty Hewitt Memorial Tournament on Dec. 9, but were able to rebound with a convincing 71-36 victory over Chelsea last week.
The Lady Ironmen are in a bit of a skid after winning three of their first four games. Since then Nowata has dropped three games in a row including back-to-back bouts with Chelsea.
Both Hominy teams have split each of their first two games to begin the year.
The girl’s game will tipoff at 4:30 from Hominy. You can hear the boy’s game against the Bucks at 5:30 on KRIG 104.9 FM.
