It was a successful weekend, but a stinging defeat for OKWU baseball on Saturday in Hillsboro, Kansas.

Oklahoma Wesleyan won two out of three games over the weekend at Tabor College.

The Eagles had a 15-game winning streak snapped during the final game of their conference series on Saturday afternoon. OKWU won 23-4 and 8-3 in the first two games, but lost 5-4 during the second game of Saturday’s double-header, and it was a heartbreaker.

Oklahoma Wesleyan led 4-1 entering the bottom of the ninth inning when Tabor would walk-off with a grand slam home run to snap the 15-game winning streak.

The Eagles sill stand at 24-3 on the season and are No. 5 in the country. An updated NAIA baseball poll comes out this week. OKWU is 13-3 in conference play, which puts them in first place by a full game.

The Eagles are next at Southwestern Assembles of God for a non-conference double-header on Tuesday afternoon in Texas.
