OKWU Baseball Looks to Continue Winning Streak

The Oklahoma Wesleyan baseball team will look to keep some steady momentum going with a tough road test this weekend. The Eagles will put a thirteen-game winning streak on the line as they travel to Tabor College for a three-game weekend series.

The OKWU offense has been a strong force through the first six weeks of the season. The Eagles have scored at least eight runs in each of their last seven contests, including a 26-run outburst against Ecclesia in a midweek game on Tuesday. Eagle head coach Matt Parker thinks the offense has benefited from the dominance of the pitching staff.

Despite its 13-10 overall record, Parker says the Eagles aren’t looking past Tabor. The Blue Jays have lost just two conference games, both coming against Kansas Wesleyan last weekend.

The Eagles have not lost a game since February 17.

OKWU will play one on Friday and then a doubleheader on Saturday. We’ll have more on OKWU baseball throughout the weekend.
