OKWU Baseball Looks to Start New Streak

Oklahoma Wesleyan baseball will look to start a fresh winning streak on Tuesday. The Eagles squandered a lead in the finale of a three-game road series with Tabor on Sunday, ending a 15-game winning streak in the process.

The Eagles have tallied just three losses all season. OKWU has built a reputation of being one of the top programs in all of NAIA baseball over the past few years. Eagles head coach Matt Parker attributes that to the everyday drive of his players.

The Eagles offense averages 9.4 runs per game this season offensively, which is a top-five mark in the country. The OKWU pitching staff is also among the nation’s elite, posting a 2.80 ERA as a staff.

OKWU hits the road for a midweek doubleheader against Southwestern Assemblies of God University. The Lions enter with an 8-20 record on the season.
