OKWU Baseball Sweeps Rogers State

Oklahoma Wesleyan University Eagles baseball team improved to 9-3 overall with a sweep over Rogers State 7-1 and 7-5 Wednesday afternoon.

In game one, the Eagles scored four of their seven runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to secure the first game.  Sam Haynes picked up the win.  In five innings of work, Haynes gave up a run on six hits, walked two, and struck out two.  Avery Flores went 3 for 4 with a double and 3 RBI's.

In game two, OKWU broke a 5-5 tie by scoring two runs in the bottom of the sixth and held on to win. Jason Wilkinson and Brandon Cummings each had two hits.  Daniel Wren picked up the win on the mound.

The Eagles are ranked third in the NAIA.
