The Oklahoma Wesleyan Eagles basketball squads are both coming off recent losses to Bethany on the road. For the men, it snapped their 15-game win streak and undefeated run in conference play. For the women, they saw their 3-game win streak snapped as well.

Both squads are back this Thursday night when they take on Bethel (KS) at home. For the guys, they have already beaten Bethel once this year, on the road with a score of 63-54. OKWU men are 19-2 and 14-1 in conference play. They’re looking to get back on track, and with starters Brandon Bird and Derrick Talton Jr. OKWU Men’s Coach Donnie Bostwick will look to Jaden Lietzki to have a more amplified scoring role.

Bostwick talks about how important Lietzki is to their squad.

Girls will also look to sweep Bethel as they won their first matchup 74-68. Girls tip first Thursday night at 6pm with the guys to follow at 8pm. Both games we will carry for you on Sports Talk 99.1 KPGM
