OKWU Eliminated From NCCAA World Series
Oklahoma Wesleyan University Lady Eagles softball team's season came to a close Wednesday evening as Southern Wesleyan won 5-2 in the NCCAA World Series.
Southern Wesleyan jumped to a 4-0 lead after two innings of work and never looked back, scoring four of the five runs in the second. OKWU scored all two of their runs in the bottom of the sixth. Jenna Daniel took the loss on the mound and ended the year with a 17-15 record. In seven innings of work, Daniel gave up five runs on 10 hits, walked three, and struck out six. At the plate, Desiree Cavazos, Mayan Meza Tovar, Hannah Sharum, Heather Jones, Dakota Bottoms, Christie Bell, Makayla Kelly, and Katelyn Cook each got a hit for the Lady Eagles.
