OKWU Lady Eagles Upset College of St. Mary

Oklahoma Wesleyan University Lady Eagles are on a roll as they stun #12 College of St. Mary Monday night at Bartlesville 91-77.  The win is the fourth straight for the Lady Eagles and have won 11 of their last 12 games.  The Flames suffered their first conference loss of the year going to 11-1.  OKWU led 43-42 at halftime and outscored College of St. Mary 48-35 in the second half to upset the Flames.  As a team, the Lady Eagles shot 51 percent from the field and shot 66 percent from the three point line, making 12 of them behind the arc.  Megan Jones led the Lady Eagles with 19 points, followed by her twin sister Delaney Jones with 15 points.  Christa Beasler came off the bench and finished with 13 points while Kayla Wyrick added 12 points and Kayla Morgan finished with 11 points.  College of St. Mary was led by Deaundra Young with 30 points.  The Lady Eagles are now 17-10 overall and 10-2 in Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference play.  Next up for OKWU will be this Friday night against College of the Ozarks and Saturday afternoon against Central Baptist College.
