The Eagles’ men’s team opens up postseason play on Thursday night with a quarterfinal matchup against Tabor.

After a 22-win regular season the Eagles enter the KCAC tournament as the No. 2 seed. The path to the conference tournament championship runs through Bartlesville. OKWU has any opportunity to play two home games before the title game at Hartman Arena on the north side of Wichita.

The Eagles are the hottest team in the conference having won 11 of their last 14 contests. However, one of losses was a meltdown on the road against the Blue Jays. They fell 82-to-79 in overtime after holding a double-digit lead in the final seven minutes.

OKWU did earn a convincing 93-to-78 victory on January 3 in the first matchup. Junior Forward Isaak Rowe led the way with 26 points in that win.

The Eagles and Blue Jays will get quarterfinal action underway at 7 o’clock on Thursday from the Mueller Sports Complex. Coverage can be heard on 99.1 FM KPGM.
