OKWU Softball Season Comes To An End

Oklahoma Wesleyan University Lady Eagles softball team's season came to a close Tuesday afternoon at Alexandria, Louisiana as they lost 3-1 to Martin Methodist, Tennessee in the NAIA Regional Tournament.  Lady Eagles led 1-0 going into the top of the seventh when Martin Methodist scored all three runs.  OKWU had a chance in the bottom of the seventh, but came up short.  Jenna Daniel went the distance and took the loss.  Daniel gave up three runs on five hits and struck out one batter.  Lady Eagles managed just four hits.  Kierra McFadden went 1 for 3 with a RBI.  OKWU went 0-2 in Regional play.

Lady Eagles finished the season with a 36-19 record.  This season will be something to remember as the Lady Eagles won the KCAC Tournament and advancing to the NAIA playoffs for the first time in school history.
