OKWU Softball Sweep Crowley's Ridge

Oklahoma Wesleyan University Lady Eagles softball team picked up two wins Thursday afternoon with a 12-1 and 15-1 victories over Crowley's Ridge in Bartlesville.

OKWU scored eight of their 12 runs to take game one.  The bats were hot for the Lady Eagles as they out hit Crowley's Ridge 13-2.  Ashleigh Capps pitched five innings giving up a run on two hits and struck out four batters.  Lindsey McKenna went 2 for 3 with a home run and three RBI's.

The Lady Eagles had no problems in the second game as they scored every inning.  OKWU scored four runs in the first, two runs in the second, four runs in the third, and five runs in the fourth.  MyKelti Shelton got the win on the mound.  In five innings of work, Shelton gave up a run on two hits and struck out eight. Karli Hobson went 2 for 2 at the plate.

Lady Eagles are 13-14 overall this season.  OKWU is back in KCAC action this Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock as they will host a double header against York College.
