OKWU Softball Sweep Rogers State

Oklahoma Wesleyan University Lady Eagles softball team ended the regular season on a high note Thursday afternoon with a sweep over Rogers State University 2-0 and 5-1.

In the first game, Jenna Daniel continued her winning ways as she went the distance to give up 3 hits and struck out 9 batters.  Daniel's record improves to 18-6 overall.  At the plate, Jayci Wang went 2 for 3 with a double and a RBI.  OKWU scored all of their two runs in the bottom of the third inning.

In the second game, pitcher Makayla Kelly went the distance and allowed two hits and struck out three batters.  The Lady Eagles scored 3 of their 5 runs in the bottom of the second inning to complete the sweep.  Kelly's record now stands at 12-9.  At the plate, Katelyn Cook went 2 for 3 with a homerun and a RBI.

Lady Eagles end the regular season with a 32-17 mark.  The team will be preparing for next week's KCAC Softball tournament.
