OKWU Softball Sweep Sterling

Oklahoma Wesleyan University Lady Eagles softball team traveled to Sterling, Kansas Monday as they swept Sterling College 8-0 and 11-8.

In the first game, the Lady Eagles out hit the Lady Warriors 8-1.  Jenna Daniel pitched an one-hit shutout and struck out three batters.  Brianna Miller and Jayci Wang each had two hits.

In the second game, Sterling College led 8-1 after four innings.  But that's when OKWU came back, scored five runs in the fifth and five runs in the sixth to complete the sweep.  Makayla Kelly picked up the win on the mound.  Michaela Shouldis and Ashleigh Capps each had three hits.  

Lady Eagles are now 30-17 overall and 17-5 in KCAC play.  OKWU is in second place in the conference.  OKWU will next host Rogers State on April 28th.
