OKWU Softball Sweep Sterling College

Oklahoma Wesleyan University Lady Eagles softball team opened up their 2017 KCAC season with a pair of wins Wednesday afternoon against Sterling College.  Lady Eagles swept the Lady Warriors 9-3 and 3-2.

In the first game, the Lady Eagles got 13 hits including two home runs by Michaela Shouldis and Britney Howard.  Ashleigh Capps went the distance and got the win giving up three runs on five hits and struck out six.

The second game was much tighter as the Lady Eagles scored two of their three runs in the bottom of the second inning to sweep Sterling College.  Mykelti Shelton got the win giving up two runs on two hits and struck out three batters.

OKWU is 11-14 overall and 2-0 in KCAC play.  Lady Eagles are back in action Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock as they will host a double header against Crowley's Ridge.
