OKWU Softball Sweep York College

Oklahoma Wesleyan University Lady Eagles softball team remains unbeaten in KCAC play after sweeping York College Saturday afternoon 4-1 and 7-6.  

In the first game, York led 1-0 going into the fifth inning when OKWU scored two runs in the fifth and two runs in the bottom of the sixth to hold on for the win.  Ashleigh Capps went the distance and got the win giving up a run on three hits and struck out four batters.  At the plate, Kierra McFadden went 2 for 3 with three RBI's.  Brianna Miller, Britney Howard, and Kaylee Clinton each had two hits.

In the second game, OKWU led 6-0 before York made a comeback, scoring four runs in the sixth and two runs in the top of seventh to tie at six.  With the bases loaded, Lindsey McKenna walked home from third base to give the Lady Eagles a win.  

OKWU is now 15-14 overall and 4-0 in KCAC play.  The Lady Eagles will travel to Bethel College this Tuesday for a double header.
