OKWU Splits Against Conference Foe Friends
Oklahoma Wesleyan hosted KCAC rival Friends Thursday night in a men’s and women’s double header.
Starting with the men’s game, OKWU rolled through Friends 78-52. The Eagles would go on a 16-0 run early in the first half all but putting away the Falcons enjoying a 30-point lead throughout the contest.
Amari Woods would shine with 13 points and knocking down a trio of threes. The Eagles defense would dominate as it held Friends leading scorer to only two-points.
Head Coach Donnie Bostwick had this to say about his team’s performance.
Oklahoma Wesleyan is 9-1 this season and 5-0 in KCAC play.
The women lost a hard-fought game 48-43. Only scoring five points in the first quarter but Ty’Nayjah Mitchell would will the Lady Eagles back into the game with five three pointers and would see a lead in the fourth.
OKWU falls to 3-7 this season with a 2-3 conference record.
