OKWU Splits vs Southwestern.

Oklahoma Wesleyan’s upset bit of a top 10 team in the country fell just short on Saturday.

The Eagle men fell to Southwestern 78-71. The OKWU guy’s hung with Southwestern, but could not finish out the upset in the final minutes. Oklahoma Wesleyan led 69-67 with less than three minutes left, but Southwestern ended the game on a run to outduel the Eagles.

The OKWU men fall to 9-5 on the season, 3-4 in conference play.

The Lady Eagle women did get a nice win against Southwestern, Mark Moulder’s club blew out the Moundbuilders 62-45. They are now 10-2 overall, 5-2 in Kansas Colligate Athletic Conference play.
