It was another KCAC battle Thursday night between Oklahoma Wesleyan University and McPherson College in Bartlesville.  Lady Eagles were stunned by McPherson 73-71 while the Eagles blasted the Bulldogs 107-81.

Poor shooting once again was a factor for the Lady Eagles as they shot 30 percent from the field and went 10 for 46 from the 3-point line at 21 percent.  OKWU led after the first period 23-17 and only scored seven points in the second period to tie the game at 30 at halftime.  McPherson took advantage of poor shooting and turnovers as they outscored the Lady Eagles 26-15 in the third period.  OKWU had opportunities in the fourth period to come back, but with a few seconds to go, a questionable call that led to a technical foul to the Lady Eagles bench that allowed McPherson put the game away.  Shelbie Kirby led the Lady Eagles with 21 points while Kayla Morgan added 14 points and Courtney Robinson finished with 13 points.  Susan Agesen recorded a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.  McPherson's Ashton Bruner led with a game high 23 points.  Lady Eagles were out rebounded 44-37.  The Lady Bulldogs were dominate in the paint, scoring 54 points to OKWU's 29.  Lady Eagles drop to 16-11 overall and 10-7 in KCAC play.

It was a team effort for the Eagles as they dominated the Bulldogs.  McPherson led early in the first half and OKWU turned it up and took a 52-29 halftime lead and never looked back.  It was an important win for the Eagles to stay alive in the race to the post season tournament.  Seven Eagle players scored in double figures.  Jervis Hamilton led OKWU with 15 points.  CJ Ross finished with 12 points while Ryan Schuessler added 11.  Pat Everett, Uros Pavic, Colton Miller, and Shaq Martin finished with 10 points a piece.  Chris Crook led McPherson with a game high 26 points.  The Eagles shot 47 percent and out rebounded the Bulldogs 61-41.  The Eagles improve to 12-14 overall and 7-10 in KCAC play.

Both the Eagles and Lady Eagles will play their final home games of the season Saturday evening as they will host Sterling College.  Ladies play at 5 while the Men will play at 7 o'clock.
