OKWU Sweeps College of the Ozarks
Oklahoma Wesleyan University Eagles and Lady Eagles advance to the Midland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship games on Tuesday as they swept College of the Ozarks. The Lady Eagles have won nine straight and 16 of their last 17 games including an 101-88 win over College of the Ozarks. Megan Jones led with 23 points and 10 rebounds while Christa Beasler finished with 12 points and Delaney Jones added 12 points. Nichole Tate and Anna Markavich both finished with 10 points a piece. Lady Eagles will play Tueaday at College of St. Mary. A win would advance to the NAIA Division II National Tournament later this month. In the mens game, the Eagles won in overtime 100-90 over the Bobcats. Phillip Jahn and Devin Harris led with 23 points a piece while Steven Cooks and Andrew Moncado added 12 points a piece. The Eagles will host Bellevue Tuesday night at 7 with the winner qualifying to play in the NAIA Division II National Tournament later this month.
