The Oklahoma Wesleyan men’s team will have a tough test with a road battle against Sterling on Wednesday. The Eagles are rolling in the month of January as they’ve won five of their last six games. However, that one loss came in their lone road game against Kansas Wesleyan.

The Eagles are currently tied for second place in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference. The team also received some national recognition as they came in at No. 21 in the latest NAIA rankings.

OKWU was lucky to come away with a 90-87 win at home in its first time around against Sterling after allowing 21 three-pointers to go down. Freshman wing Arman Achbar is confident going into the second meeting.

The Eagles are just 1-4 in conference road games this season.

The Lady Eagles are playing an important game as well. They also find themselves tied for second in the KCAC with the postseason just a few weeks away.

The OKWU Women beat Sterling in an instant classic the first time around, 69-68. Senior guard Cheyenne Been went 3-16 shooting in the game but that included a game-winning hook shot with less than ten seconds in the game.

This OKWU doubleheader from Sterling, Kansas will tipoff at 6 p.m. and can be heard on 99.1 FM--KPGM
