Oklahoma Wesleyan University have announced they will induct the 2009 Mens basketball team into the athletic Hall of Fame during the 2016 Homecoming weekend, scheduled for October 28th-29th.  Homecoming activities include womens soccer game, and the OKWU Basketball Classic.

The mens 2009 basketball team won the NAIA Division II National Championship led by head coach Donnie Bostwick.  Bostwick's record at OKWU for four years was 120-20 and went to the NAIA National Tournament in all four years.

The 2009 team was led on the floor by Steve Briggs and Sadiel Rojas.  Both will be inducted in the Hall of Fame individually along with their team mates.  Both were named NAIA Division II men's basketball players of the year.

Briggs broke the national tournament record in 2009 with 26 three-pointers and lead the tournament in scoring with 147 points.  Briggs also was named the tournament's MVP.  Rojas led the Eagles in the national championship game with 18 points and 17 rebounds.  The Eagles defeated then Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference rival College of the Ozarks to claim the school's only NAIA National Championship.
