Oklahoma Wesleyan University Eagles baseball team is just one win away from claiming their second straight Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference title as they will take on Bellevue for the third time in the tournament Sunday afternoon at 1 o'clock at Doenges Stadium.  The Eagles had to win two games Saturday as they eliminated College of the Ozarks 12-4 and came from behind to win 14-11 to Bellevue.

The Bruins got off to a fast start by scoring three runs in the first, five in the second, and led 9-1.  With that lead, Bellevue was looking to wrap up the championship, but that proved wrong as OKWU came back and trailed 11-7.  The 11 runs by the Bruins were the last as OKWU scored one run in the seventh, and scored six in the bottom of the eighth, held Bellevue in check, and survived to play on Sunday afternoon.  The Eagles used five pitchers, including starter Sam Hayes, who gave up seven runs on seven hits in over an inning of work.  Cody Stafford came out of the bullpen and picked up the win in just an inning of work.  Elpido Martin got the save.  John Davenport went 4 for 5 at the plate with a triple and 3 RBI's while David Espinoza went 2 for 4 with a homerun, a double, and 3 RBI's.  Austin Murphy hit two doubles and got a RBI.  Jeff Butler went 2 for 4 with a double while Avery Flores, Zair Koeiman, Brandon Cummings, and Connor Finkhouse each got a hit.

The winner of Sunday's game will win the MCAC title and advance to the NAIA Regional Tournament.
