The Pawhuska Huskies made things look easy once again in Friday’s second round home playoff game against Colcord.

After an interception thrown by Todd Drummond on the first series gave Colcord an 8-0 lead, it was all Huskies after that, as they led 43-8 at halftime and went on to win, 53-29.

Following the Drummond interception, Pawhuska had a nine-play drive, which was capped off by this run from Tyrel Richardson.

The Huskies would tack on two more touchdowns in the first quarter and led it 23-8 heading into quarter number two. On the first play from scrimmage in the second quarter, the Huskies kept rolling on a 65-yard pitch and catch to Dalton Hurd.

In the second half, Hennesy played a number of junior varsity players to get them playoff experience. In the postgame interview, Drummond talked about his resiliency he showed following the interception and the trust he has in his defense.

Pawhuska will now travel to Elmore City next Friday for a 7 p.m. kickoff. Pregame coverage will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Sportstalk KPGMFM 99.1 and KPGMTV.com.
