Possible Press Box Plans for Custer
The deadline is quickly approaching for BPS to announce the specifics on what will be in the next bond issue.
Bartlesville Public Schools has been holding meetings and throwing around ideas, some of which have to do with athletics. One of the possible athletic ventures that could be included in the bond issue is a replacement for the aging press box at Custer Stadium. The press box has become one of the oldest in the state, especially for Bartlesville’s size. Superintendent Chuck McCauley talks about the state of a possible press box on this year’s bond.
BPS is holding another meeting on Wednesday to continue the bond discussion with the public, McCauley said that they will give a tour of the press box, weather permitting, so interested people and see it in person.
The final edition of the bond issue will be out next month – we will have coverage on Wednesday’s meeting on the news side.
