Tucker Talks Bruin Soccer Awards

Bartlesville High soccer raked in the postseason awards last week, as the Bruins were recognized for a tremendous start to the 2020 season from other coaches across the state.

BHS had three all-state players in Gabriel Ontiveros, Jonah Collins and Trent Horinek.

Bartlesville also cashed in during the district awards. Dylan McCoy, John Covell, Jalen Belong and Cameron Molder were all-district guys. Collins, Tanner Benbrook, Brandon O’Rourke and Peter Perryman were picked as honorable mention all-district.

Four of those guys are freshman and sophomores. Ontiveros and Horinek capped off tremendous careers for Bartlesville, and head coach Anthony Tucker says that he thinks the honors were well-deserved.

Tucker also wanted to be sure he didn’t leave out Collins, who was honorable mention on both lists. Tucker says he is another Bruin senior who left his mark on the program.

Tucker says that he is still having his end-of-year meetings, talking with all 48 of the Bruin soccer guys over Zoom to discuss their 2020 seasons.
