Early voting begins on Thursday for the Bartlesville Public Schools bond issue, which will officially be up for a vote on this coming Tuesday.

We took a long look at a possible new press box at Custer Stadium last week – the other athletics endeavor making the most headlines would be turf at Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium and the BHS softball complex.

Bruin Athletic Director Spence Rigdon says turf at Bill Doenges would benefit the entire community, especially when it comes to youth events.

Turf would aide in the ability to move the base-length or pitching mound-length, which would enable more youth games to be played at the facility. Rigdon also mentioned the possibility of Bill Doenges being able to host college games and tournaments easier.
