WCS Enjoying Playoff Victory

Wesleyan Christian School football enjoyed its first-round playoff victory over the weekend, but this week it is back to work for the Mustangs, as they get set for one of their toughest tests of the season.

WCS travels to Mountain View – Gotebo on Friday night in the second round of the Class C playoffs. The Tigers will be up with Timberlake as one of the toughest opponents Wesleyan Christian has seen this year.

The 35-16 victory over Sasakwa was a historic one for the program last weekend. And it happened in large part thanks to Kaden Fisher, who rushed for 101 yards and had three touchdowns on the night.

Head coach Curt Cloud says that Fisher is having a spectacular end to his senior campaign.

The victory is only the second playoff win for WCS in the OSSAA. Sus-Sawk-Kwa was not within two touchdowns at any point during the second half.

Cloud says there’s no such thing as style points once you get into the playoffs.

We will have radio coverage from Southwestern Oklahoma on Friday night on KWON – AM 1400, FM 93.3 and 95.1. More WCS and Mt. View Gotebo later on this week
