WCS Eyes Playoff Possibilities

Wesleyan Christian School football is having its first full OSSAA season on its own this fall. The Mustangs numbers have dwindled a bit, but thanks to a robust senior class, and a strong group of position players, things look promising.

WCS will operate in Class B District 7, with a tough group of programs. However with smaller districts, it is a bit easier to make the postseason in eight-man football. Head coach Curt Cloud explains.

Yale, Depew, Olive, Prue and Davenport are the other five teams vying for four playoff spots in the district. The Mustangs will be led by six seniors, including longtime quarterback Austin Cobb.

Hear more from Cloud on Saturday morning during our KWON Coach’s Breakfast Broadcast, will will air on AM-1400 and FM 93.3 from 7:00-9:00.
