WCS In Line to Host Playoff Game

Wesleyan Christian School football has probably locked up a home playoff game this past Friday with a win at Bluejacket.

The Mustangs squeaked out a 32-28 victory in a back-and-forth affair. WCS trailed at halftime, but took the lead early in the second half.

The Mustangs then had a two-score advantage cut to four in the final minutes, but recovered an onside kick return to seal the win. If Wesleyan Christian can take care of winless South Coffeyville on Friday, it will be the two seed in Class C District 3, and will host a playoff game in the first round.

WCS had a miscue on offense inside the Bluejacket five, and a turnover in Bluejacket territory.

Head coach Curt Cloud says he felt like the Mustangs could have made it easier on themselves.

Kaden Fisher scored twice and 130 yards rushing. His one-handed touchdown grab with three minutes left in the game probably won the contest for Wesleyan.

We will have more on the Mustangs later on this week.
