2025 in Sports: OKU Baseball's Historic Run

The 2025 calendar year is coming to a close, and as the year wraps up we continue to look back on the top sports stories of the year.
Today, we turn the clock back to early May and feature Oklahoma Union baseball's historic run to the state tournament.
OKU won 19 games during the regular season and found themselves in a position to host a regional. The Cougars outscored the teams in their regional by a combined total of 51-1 to advance to the state tournament for the first time in program history.
OKU's season ended in the opening round of the state tournament to Colbert to finish the spring 19-11 overall. Looking back on the spring, Funkhouser talked about getting to play at the biggest stage.
