One sold-out stadium show in Oklahoma was not enough, so Zach Bryan rolls into Tulsa for a two-night stand at H.A. Chapman Stadium on Friday and Saturday. Bryan’s “With Heaven on Tour” stop features support from Trampled by Turtles and J.R. Carroll, with gates opening at 5:30 p.m., openers starting around 7 p.m., and Bryan expected to take the stage around 9 p.m. This all depends if the Oklahoma weather cooperates.
Fans heading to the stadium can expect a setlist loaded with songs like “Something in the Orange,” “Oklahoma Smokeshow,” “Heading South,” “Pink Skies,” and “I Remember Everything,” along with plenty of material from Bryan’s new album, “With Heaven On Top.” Venue parking is split between several campus lots, and yes, there is a clear bag policy, because heaven forbid concertgoers attempt to smuggle in a backpack larger than a lunchbox.
The Tulsa dates carry a little extra weight for Bryan because this is essentially a home-state victory lap. While he was born in Japan during his parents’ military service, Bryan grew up in the Rogers County town of Oologah, just northeast of Tulsa. So for fans from Oologah and the surrounding area, this is less “major national tour stop” and more “the local kid made it absurdly big and now he’s back playing a football stadium.”
