Dewey Track and Field Concludes 3A State Meet

Dewey Bulldogger track and field wrapped up their season on Saturday at the 3A state meet in Catoosa.

On day two on the boy's side, the relay of Cadyn Artherton, Tra Hicks, Kavery Weathers and Wyatt Templeton finished fifth in the 4x200-meter run and fourth in the 4x400-meter relay. Hicks finished seventh in the 400-meter dash.

Keidon Holt won a state championship in the 110-meter hurdles with Weathers finishing third. Weathers won a state championship in the 300-meter hurdles with Holt finishing second.

On the girl's side, Chanley Herren finished sixth in the 100-meter hurdles.

In the field, Camrin Jones won the state championship in high jump, Mackenzie Hedges placed fourth. Londyn Bond won another state championship in shot put, Kyla Overton finished fifth.

Head coach Daniel Close talks about the standard the program has set.

Overall, the Lady Bulldoggers placed sixth as a team with 46 points. The Bulldoggers finished fourth as a team with 54 points.
