Bartlesville Falls to Jenks in DH

Had quite a bit of high school hoops across the area on Tuesday night.

Both Bartlesville High basketball teams lost tough ones at home against Jenks.

On the girl’s side a big fourth quarter gave the Trojans the win, as Jenks pulled away 60-45.

The game was all BHS in the third quarter. Bartlesville rallied from down 13 to get all the way within two. The Lady Bruins had a shot in the air that could have given them the lead early in the fourth quarter. However, BHS went cold at a bad time.

Jenks allowed only two Bruin points in the final eight minutes.

Bartlesville outscored Jenks 16-8 in the third to get back into it, this reverse layup from Addison Jones was part of the run.

Sami Shaeffer led the way for BHS with 20 points.

Meanwhile the Bruin guys were blitzed from the start. Jenks topped BHS 68-45.

Jenks led the Bruins 27-6 at the end of the first quarter and never looked back. Bartlesville turnovers led to Trojan breakaways often during the first eight minutes.

The closest BHS would get the rest of the way was 18.

This stickback from Skyler Carter was a highlight in the second half.

No Bruins finished in double-figures.

Both BHS teams stay home for their final game of the semester on Friday afternoon at noon and 2:00 against Edmond Santa Fe. We will have those games on Sports Talk 99.1 FM – KPGM.
