Best of 2025: Bruin Boys Soccer in 6A Semis
We continue to look at the best sports stories from 2025, as we have our Year in Review series on our website at BartlesvilleRadio.com.
The Bartlesville High boys’ soccer program not only qualified for the playoffs, but the Bruins got all the way to the 6A State semifinals.
Bartlesville would lose to Broken Arrow with a chance to play for the State Title.
The Bruins had back-to-back overtime road playoff wins to get to the semis. BHS knocked off NW Classen, 5-4 in PKs to advance to face the Tigers in the semifinals. The Bruins would fall to BA 1-0 with a trip to the title round on the line.
BHS had notched a 2-1 win over Union in the first round of the postseason.
At one point late in the season, the Bruins had five straight overtime wins. Every BHS victory after March 27 came following the final buzzer. The only OT loss in that span was to Bartlesville’s semifinal opponent in Broken Arrow in the regular season.
