Bartlesville Bruin baseball has closed out the regular season on a six-game winning streak and will finish the regular season with 20 wins.

The Bruins closed out the year with a win at Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium against Booker T. Washington, 6-1.

The Bruins came to life offensively in the fourth inning after trailing 1-0 through the first three frames. An error and a fielder's choice gave BHS their first lead. Bartlesville added another run in the fifth on a sacrifice fly from Luke Massey.

The Bruins pulled away in the sixth with three more runs. Bryce Leulf scored on a passed ball, Gavin Thomas drove in Liam Buchanan and Sam Marcella drove in Thomas on a sacrifice fly.

Three pitchers combined for the win. Sam Hill went the first four innings, he allowed one hit, one earned run, four walks and struck out two. Kanin Romesburg walked three batters over two innings of work and Sam Marcella allowed two hits and struck out two over an inning.

BHS heads into the postseason next week with a 20-15 record. They will head to Edmond Deer Creek for regionals with a chance to make the state tournament.
