Bruin Football Holds First Practice
It is day No. 1 for high school football practice across the state of Oklahoma, as many high schools are either already practicing this morning or have had some really early morning stuff at Midnight.
At Bartlesville High, the Bruins are practicing as we week. The Bruins will go around 5:30 the first few days of practice before school begins.
It is a new era for BHS, albeit with a familiar name. Matt Hennesy gets started as a first-year head coach at Bartlesville. He was a longtime former head coach, most recently just 30 minutes to the west in Pawhuska.
The Bruins will have had a handful of move-ins, about 10 returning starters, and some other newcomers that will mix to form the 2026 club.
Hennesy says Bartlesville is ready for some football.
Quarterback Michael Kent, tight end and linebacker Boden Roberts, linebacker Wyatt Mathis and offensive lineman Caiden Chambers will headline the returners - Among others.
