Bruin Football Matchup With Deer Creek
We are one day closer to one of the more anticipated Bartlesville High football games over the past 10 years.
BHS is onto the 6A-II quarterfinals following a blowout win over Putnam City North this past Friday.
The Bruins travel to Edmond to face Deer Creek, a relatively new powerhouse in 6A-II. The Antlers won the west-side District. Deer Creek went through District 1 undefeated, really playing only one closer game. Deer Creek beat Choctaw 25-20 in what ended up winning the Antlers the District title.
At 8-2, the couple losses Deer Creek suffered were to 6A-I teams in non-District play. Deer Creek lost to Mustang and Edmond Memorial.
Bartlesville’s defensive line continues to be a bright spot. The Bruin’s front seven created major pressure in its win last weekend.
After the game head coach Harry Wright talked about the line’s performance.
