Bruin Football Responding Well to Culture
We are back into high school football workouts this week after the mandated OSSAA dead period a week ago.
This means the Bruins had more workouts at Custer Stadium starting on Monday.
It has been a long offseason with a new group of coaches for BHS. Matt Hennesy was brought into the fold in the winter of 2025. He quickly moved to hire one of his former quarterbacks in Mason Fine as offensive coordinator.
Hennesy talks about the contrasting styles of coaching on this Bruin staff.
Early returns from both within and outside of the program have been positive. The players continue to stay engaged in their offseason workouts with high numbers and low absentees.
Hennesy says he likes the way the players have responded to a new culture for Bruin football.
We had it on the news side, but Hennesy will be the featured speaker during this summer’s Samaritan Sports Spectacular in August at the Hilton Garden Inn.
We will have more on summer workouts at BHS over the next month until fall camp begins.
