Copan's Caron Signs with Independence CC
Had a special college signing on Monday afternoon up in Copan, as one of the better Hornet football players in recent memory put pen to paper to continue his college career.
Copan running back and linebacker Teegan Caron chose to sign with Independence Community College. Caron had 10 offers from a wide variety of different schools.
He held a signing yesterday afternoon with about 150 friends and family watching at the Copan gym.
Caron talks about why he chose to sign with Indy.
Caron says that getting a junior college full ride from a place as small as Copan should show the community and other athletes in the area that you can get any goal accomplished from wherever you are from.
Caron’s first year head coach in Trenton Kallenburger says that this signing means a lot to him and the program, as well.
