David Castillo Signs with Santa Clara

Bartlesville High School's all-time leader scorer has a new college home.
Former Bruin basketball standout David Castillo has signed with Santa Clara.
Castillo spent his first two collegiate seasons at Kansas State. He announced his intentions to transfer following the Wildcat's 2025 season that saw them finish toward the bottom of the Big 12.
Castillo's sophomore season saw him take major steps forward. DC averaged 10.3 points-per-game on 40-percent shooting. He was a starter at the end of the sesaon for the Cats, who parted ways with former head coach Jerome Tang in February.
Santa Clara plays basketball in the West Coast Conference. The Broncos qualified for the NCAA Tournament last year for the first time since 1996. They are coached by Herb Sendek.
An Oklahoma connection - Jalen Williams from the Oklahoma City Thunder went to Santa Clara from 2019-2022.
