It was a tough night for Dewey on Thursday night as the Bulldoggers fell on the road to the Sperry Pirates, 17-12.

After allowing a field goal to break a scoreless tie in the second quarter, Dewey responded with a touchdown. Braxton Braden found Easton Davis for a 42-yard score.

The Bulldoggers trailed, 10-6, at halftime. They wouldn't score again until the fourth quarter. Sperry took a 17-6 lead, essentially putting the game away.

Dewey did answer with another touchdown pass from Braden, this time finding Jayden Vallen from three yards out to keep the night alive.

Sperry recovered an onside kick in the final two minutes and ran the clock out.

Dewey falls to 3-5 on the season and 2-3 in district play with the loss. The Bulldoggers will finish out their season at home with two more big district games. Next up is Tulsa Central next Friday night in Dewey. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
