Dewey Hoops Completes Sweep of OKU
Dewey basketball ran past Oklahoma Union on Tuesday night in Dewey.
The Bulldoggers topped the Cougars, 73-46.
OKU scored the first basket of the game, and immediately following, Dewey put a stranglehold on the game with a 14-0 run. The Bulldoggers stretched an nine point lead at the end of the first quarter to a 23 point lead at halftime. This Austin Eastman three-pointer in the second quarter was part of Dewey's offensive explosion.
For Oklahoma Union, they were led offensively by Jensen Anderson. He made this three-pointer in the second to keep the Cougars in it.
Dewey stretched the lead as large as 30 points in the second half.
The win puts Dewey at 12-2 overall. OKU drops to 2-11 after the loss.
The Dewey Lady Bulldoggers made it a sweep on the night with a 51-21 win over the Lady Cougars. The Dewey girls improve to 8-6 with the win.
Dewey is back in action on Friday on the road for the Caney Valley Trojans. Oklahoma Union will also return on Friday for a road conference battle against Chelsea.
