Dewey Bulldogger basketball dominated Sperry on Tuesday night at home, 68-40.

After starting off the night on an 11-0 run, the Bulldoggers grew the lead as large as 18 points in the first half. Sperry did their best to cut the deficit as close as 10, but never seriously threatened to cut it closer.

In a dominant first half, this Zach Renfroe transition bucket helped Dewey surge ahead quickly.

Dewey led at halftime, 39-23.

The lead only grew further in the second half, peaking at 26 points before both sides cleared the bench. This three-pointer from Kooper Crawford helped keep the momentum Dewey's way in the third quarter.

The Bulldoggers have won four straight with all four double-digit wins. Dewey is 14-2 overall and have won nine of their last 10 games.

In the girls game, the Lady Bulldoggers won their fourth straight. Like the guys, each of those four wins has been by double digits. They beat the Lady Pirates, 46-35. The Lady Bulldoggers are 10-6.

Both Dewey clubs will be back in action for the 33rd Caney Valley Tournament starting on Wednesday. The Lady Bulldoggers will play at 4 p.m. against Liberty at 4 p.m. The guys will play Barnsdall at 5:30 p.m.

Dewey's game with Barnsdall can be heard on 104.9 - KRIG.
