Four Days from Bruin Football
We are four days away from another official step in starting the Matt Hennesy era of Bartlesville High Bruin football.
BHS, along with the rest of the state, gets going with practice on Monday.
It has been a long leadup for Hennesy, after taking the job last December. Even with more than seven months of prep, practice is coming a week earlier than usual.
The OSSAA moved up football practice a week this fall for athletes to get better acclimated to the heat in preparation for real game action in August.
As mentioned, 47 Bruin athletes attended 100 percent of the summer pride workouts this summer and got a special shirt for the accomplishment. BHS took athletes with better than 90 percent attendence to a water park last week as celebration.
We will have more on Bruin football when practice starts next week.
