Huskies Look to Win 1st Round Home Playoff Game
Matt Hennesy has been head coach of the Pawhuska football team for six years now and each season has resulted in a playoff appearance for the Pawhuska Huskies. This year, Pawhuska gets a first round home playoff game against the Kansas Comets.
That is thanks to a monumental 30-15 road win against Rejoice Christian last week. Hennesy says in that win, his team did a great job of making some in-game adjustments.
Kansas is a team that has traditionally had success, but the Comets have been down on their luck as of late. With an 8-2 regular season record, second year coach Warren Kirk is looking to turn that around.
Friday night's theme is “Black Out the Beach,” so fans are encouraged to wear black and Hennesy implores Husky nation to give the Huskies a true home field advantage.
Pregame coverage from Pawhuska will start at 6:30 p.m. on Sportstalk KPGM FM 99.1 and KPGMTV.com. Friday night's kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
