Huskies Put Up Valliant Effort in Loss to Rejoice Christian

It was a back and forth affair that saw many momentum swings. Midway through the fourth quarter, Rejoice Christian scored to take a 35-26 lead. That is when Jenson Snodgrass answered with this 97-yard kickoff return for touchdown.
Following the kickoff return, Rejoice Christian had a methodical drive that resulted in Rejoice Christian taking the 8-point lead. Pawhuska had time to answer, but a fumble with a minute left ended the game.
Pawhuska started strong. The Huskies received to start the ball and drove the ball 80 yards to take a 6-0 lead. Vann Wildcat finished the drive on this carry right here.
In order to win, the Pawhuska defense knew it was going to have to come up with stops. With the Eagles on the doorstep of taking an early two score lead, the defense did more than come up with a stop.
That turnover resulted in points for Pawhuska and they trailed 14-12 at halftime. After forcing Rejoice Christian into a three and out on their opening possession of the second half, the Huskies regained the lead on another Wildcat run. That was short-lived though, as Rejoice Christian answered with a kickoff return for touchdown of their own.
Pawhuska finishes the season with an 11-2 record. Rejoice Christian will meet Tonkawa for the state championship next Thursday, the only other team Pawhuska lost to this year.
