Both the Pawhuska Huskies and Lady Huskies are moving on to the semifinals of the Yale Tournament after convincing first round wins over their respective opponents.

The boys got a 49-28 win over Woodland, but the final score doesn't indicate how close the game really was. Neither team led by more than seven in the first three quarters, but Pawhuska went on a 22-6 run in the final frame to get the win.

To start the fourth quarter, this turnover by Darian West created a basket for Pawhuska and began the fourth quarter onslaught.

Blaine Manning and Dax Godsey were both in double figures for Pawhuska. The Huskies are now 8-7 and will take on the winner of Yale and Olive on Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m.

The Lady Huskies dominated the Olive Lady Wildcats from the start. They led 15-3 at the end of the first quarter en route to a 57-16 win. Brynlee Rumsey led the way, coming off the bench to score 17 points. Brooklyn Miles finished with 17 rebounds, 10 assists and eight points.

The Lady Huskies improve to 14-1 and will take on either Sperry or Woodland at 6 p.m. on Thursday evening.
