Indians Begin Season in Kansas
UPDATE at 9:30 AM - the game will now start around 1:30 PM in Valley Center, KS Moved due to wet field conditions.
Saturday is the day for Doenges Toyota Indians baseball, as Bartlesville’s boys of summer begin their 2026 season on the road.
The Indians will face the Kansas Curve, a collegiate club out of the Wichita, Kansas metro.
The double-header will be Saturday afternoon at Clearwater High School.
For the first time in a while, no John Pannell at manager, No Brenden Asher at first base or short stop and no Kael Siemers up the middle. No Grant Clark on the mound.
Many Indians mainstays are no longer with the program this summer, so the opening weeks will be about getting the feel for the program.
First year manager Tony Osborne talks about what he wants to see out of the opening double-header.
The Indians held their first practice on Thursday evening at Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium. The Tribe will be off until Tuesday of next week when Bartlesville heads to Claremore for a game in the D-Bat League.
