Kent Learning Throughout Spring

Bartlesville High football is done with its spring practices and its team camp.

BHS held a spring game on Saturday night at Custer Stadium, then promptly had some other high schools into town for a team camp on Monday and Tuesday.

It was the first public on the field work for the Bruins under head coach Matt Hennesy in his first season with BHS.

Hennesy and his offensive coordinator, Mason Fine, inherits a young gun at quarterback in Bruin junior-to-be Michael Kent.

Kent wowed during his sophomore campaign, which was his first full season starting last fall.

Hennesy says Kent, and many of the returners, are still working through changes with the new staff as we enter the summer months.

Hennesy talked about Kent’s performance following the spring game this past Saturday.

Kent threw for 2,800 yards, ran for 601 more and had 22 touchdowns a year ago.
